What post-consumer repro actually means
Post-consumer repro — PCR — is resin made from plastic that already did its first job and came back through the recycling stream. In this grade that means clear LDPE film: stretch wrap, bags, and packaging film recovered after use, baled, sorted, cleaned, and re-extruded into a pellet you can run.
The reason buyers care is that PCR content is the only kind that counts toward most recycled-content commitments and brand packaging targets. Post-industrial material is cleaner and easier to run, but it was never in consumer hands, so it does not carry the same weight when you are reporting recycled content. If a customer or a spec is asking you for genuine recycled content, this is the grade that answers it.
How we make it
Clear post-consumer LDPE film runs on a dual-stage extrusion system with laser filtration and dual vacuum degassing. The two filtration stages pull out contamination that a single pass leaves behind, and degassing strips moisture and volatiles out of the melt before the die — which is what keeps gels and odour down in the finished pellet.
Feedstock comes from qualified suppliers and is inspected on intake and screened for contamination before it runs. Clear film is kept segregated through the whole process to protect natural translucency, and every lot is sampled and MFI-verified before it ships.
Where it runs
- Blown and cast film
- Liner and mill wrap
- Retail and produce bags
- Poly bags and sheeting
- Film applications needing natural translucency

What LDPE Clear PCR looks like

Why buy from us
We are the processor
Not a broker. We run our own line in Langley, BC, so you are buying
from the people who made the pellet and can tell you exactly how it was made.
Samples before orders
Every grade goes out as a free sample first. Run it on your line and judge it on what it
does, not on a spec sheet.
Volume you can plan around
Up to 620,000 lbs a month across our four grades, shipped across Canada and into the
United States in gaylords or 1,000 kg bulk bags.
LDPE Clear PCR questions
- What is the difference between PCR and PIR?
- PCR is post-consumer repro — material recovered after a consumer used it. PIR is post-industrial repro, made from clean factory scrap and off-spec rolls that never reached a consumer. PIR is cleaner and easier to process; PCR is what counts toward recycled-content targets. We produce both.
- What melt flow index is this clear PCR grade?
- 0.9 to 1.6 g/10 min, tested at 190 °C with a 2160 g load. Density is 0.916 g/cm³.
- Can I get a sample before ordering?
- Yes. We send samples free so you can run the material on your own line before committing. Tell us the grade and roughly what monthly volume you go through.
- How much can you supply per month?
- 160,000 lbs a month of clear PCR. Across all four grades we run up to 620,000 lbs monthly from our Langley, BC plant.
- Do you ship outside British Columbia?
- Yes. We ship across Canada and into the United States from Langley, BC, in gaylords or 1,000 kg bulk bags.
